Gilberto Santa Rosa - Sin Voluntad = Unwilling

I recently purchased Omar Alfanno's De Panama Para El Mundo, which is a recorded concert with his most famous songs live from the Old Panama City ruins in Panama City, Panama; the country that that saw him grow. He is one of Salsa's best song writers in history and I made a little pact with myself. I'm going to use my page to translate all of his songs. This song made Gilberto Santa Rosa a legend. Juan Gabriel - Amor Eterno = Eternal Love

The first time I heard this song I cried. I could feel the pain of someone so close passing away. Juan Gabriel wrote this song for his mother when she passed in 1974. Rocio Durcal;which is the voice you hear in the video below was able to make the song popular world wide. Her voice is so powerful and it transports you there, seeing the tears and sadness. Some people would call it sad music, I call it reflection music. And now at least you will know what they are saying. Video was nicely done. Thank you LuvHelica2Death if you ever see this. :-)

This song will always be one of my life time favorites. Juan Gabriel from his album Pensamientos (Thoughts) released in 1986. He is a great song writer and singer. Plus you could just see a confidence in him and his mannerisms on stage were always fun to see. So much heartache can come from meeting just one person. Sometimes is just too late, like he says here. The first time I heard this song it took me back to good old Salsa days. Marc Anthony always knows how to let that happy vibe come through. The sing along hooks, with drum beats, how can you not move?. This track speaks to me because everyone goes through hardship, heart breaks and things we thought we would never get through, but some how we did. This song is a celebration to that. Why keep suffering living in memories, in a past that we can not change. For what? It is what it is and we need to keep going and live our lives. Lalalalala

This one song makes me cry every time. It's on of my favorites song ever written. Ruben Blades is to my opinion the best Salsa singer of his time and he is from my country; Panama.
