Juan Gabriel - Hasta Que Te Conoci = Until I Met You

This song will always be one of my life time favorites. Juan Gabriel from his album Pensamientos (Thoughts) released in 1986. He is a great song writer and singer. Plus you could just see a confidence in him and his mannerisms on stage were always fun to see. So much heartache can come from meeting just one person. Sometimes is just too late, like he says here. To all my Mexicans. Que Viva Mexico!!! :-)

I didn't know about sadness, or tears,
Or nothing that would make me cry
I knew about love, of tenderness,
Because since I was little,
That is what my mother taught me
That’s what mother taught me
That and many other things
I never suffered, I never cried,
I was happy, I lived very well

I lived something different, something beautiful,
Something devine, full of felicity
I knew of happiness, the beauty of life
But not of loneliness
But not of loneliness
Of those and many other things
I never suffered, I never cried,
I was very happy…I lived very well

Until I met you
I saw life with pain
I won’t lie, I was happy
Even with very little love
And too late did I understand
That I shouldn’t have loved you
Because now I think of you
More than yesterday, so much more

Until I met you
I saw life with pain
I won’t lie, I was happy
Even with very little love
And too late did I understand
That I shouldn't have loved you
Because now I think of you
More than yesterday, so much more

I never suffered, I never cried,
I was very happy…but I found you
I don’t want you to tell me
If it was worth it or not
To have met you
Because I don’t believe you
And you were so bad
Yes, really bad with me
That is why I don’t want to see you
I don’t ever want to see you

Go away
Go away
Go away
